farmageddon book cover

Some of you may already be aware of the excellent reviews that this book is receiving and I would highly recommend it as a sobering reminder of the path food and farming will take if unbridled processing and retail interests are allowed to shape its future. I’m sure many of the themes will be familiar, but the examples quoted by Philip in the book are presented in a way that I think will really bring the messages home to those who are not so familiar with how their food is produced.

It has been chosen as the Guardian book of the week, which is a suitable endorsement for such a well written book. As the review concludes.. “he is informed enough to be appalled, and moderate enough to persuade us to take responsibility for the system that feeds us.”
